Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Mr.Edwards attended Cal West in San Diego, California where he received his Juris Doctorate. He subsequently completed a federal clerkship for the Honorable Judge Richard T. Haik, Chief Federal District Judge for the Western District of Louisiana before attaining his LL.M. in Real Property Development from the University of Miami School of Law. Joshua Mark Liszt, born in Miami, Florida and raised in Memphis, TN and Atlanta, GA, graduated from the Georgia State University School of Law and the Georgia State University Robinson School of Business in 2000. He simultaneously earned his law degree and Masters of Business Administration. Mr. Liszt received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 1997.
Mr. Liszt was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2001 and the State Bar of Florida in 2004. He has also been admitted to the Federal Bar for the Southern District of Florida. Prior to joining The Bankruptcy Group of Florida, Mr. Liszt established Liszt & Associates, P.A., which is still an active business and real estate law practice. Mr. Liszt was also a founding partner of Yon & Liszt, P.A., and Y&L Title, Inc., a full service title and escrow company. Mr. Liszt gained significant legal experience as the managing attorney at Trey Inman & Associates, P.C. in Atlanta, Georgia. Professional responsibilities have included closing hundreds of residential and commercial loan transactions, catering to a vast array of client needs, managing employees and firm scheduling, and maintaining multiple corporate finance accounts. Mr. Liszt has always been primarily responsible for new business development and ensuring the success of each transaction as well as the satisfaction of every individual involved. To that end, Mr. Liszt has successfully adapted all of these skills to the area of personal bankruptcy law for the benefit of each and every individual client. Like Mr. Edwards, Mr. Liszt prides himself on separating from the pack by promptly returning phone calls and emails, and constantly following up with clients in an effort to share all available information. However, it is has been Mr. Liszt’s keen knowledge of intricate real estate matters that have benefited his bankruptcy clients the most. As nearly every bankruptcy case involves real property of some sort, Mr. Liszt’s first hand knowledge on short sales, foreclosure matters, loan modifications and residential and commercial loan documents and guarantees provide a real advantage.
Mr. Liszt has also satisfied the prerequisites to be a state approved mediator in the State of Georgia. Prior to working for Trey Inman & Associates, P.C. and establishing his own firm, Mr. Liszt developed his knowledge in the field of real estate and bankruptcy through a combination of law courses and by working for Calloway and Calloway, P.C., a commercial real estate law firm. There he gained extensive experience in performing both residential and commercial property title searches and drafting legal descriptions.
